Busting Big Health Myths To Stay Lean And Healthy

Some of the biggest myths and misconceptions of food and exercise:
  1. no pain no gain - make sure you exercise with correct goal; building muscle, toning up or burning fat
  2. exercise alone is enough to lose weight - 80% of weight loss is to do with your nutrition and only 20% is to do with exercise
  3. ban all fats from your diet - good fats (salmon, mackerel, avocado, nuts) vs bad fats
  4. stick to three meals a day and never snack in between meals - the fastest way to strip fat is to eat foods containing plenty of fiber and protein
  5. never eat carbohydrates in the evening - split your carb intake, a bowl of porridge for breakfast and brown rice for dinner
  6. it's not the calories that matter, nut what you eat - getting your calories from organic fruit, meats and veges is better than getting them from processed foods
  7. vegetarian diets are healthier than meat ones - word of advise, pea protein has brilliant amino acid profile
  8. lifting weights will make you look bulky - the best thing is to avoid training like body builder
  9. the best time to work out is in the morning - just do what suits you and your lifestyle best
