The 'back-to-sleep' successful movement designed to protect babies from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), has resulted in an increase number of babies with flat heads.
A recent study says that up to 1/4 of babies with flat heads may have 'disadvantaged' motor skills. In other words, babies with the condition were a little behind in their motor or movement skills compared to babies whose heads were not flat.
